This is a REFORMATION/Martin Luther themed song that is connected to the German Protestant Reformation that began on October 31, 1517.
This is NOT a song about of the Protestant church pulling away from Catholicism, but rather focuses on Martin Luther’s own experience as a monk/priest coming to Christ & proclaiming salvation in the work of Christ alone thru faith & not works.
I tried to put his historical words into a dramatic heavy song that also challenges the SAINTS(aka followers of Christ) to ‘REFORM’ & praise God Almighty for His work.
FYI- this song also features part of a well known hymn that Luther himself wrote- ‘A Mighty Fortress Is Our God’…
Both the hymn & sound bites of the 1953 movie MARTIN LUTHER are public domain & need no licensing.

‘He is God-He is Holy…
I am man-I am evil’
(Monk chant)
V1
I am dead- I am dead
this condemnation in my head
Not a priest I am a beast
Almighty wrath when I decease
So help me God
Reformation
Reformation
Reformation
Reformation
Let the world
Rather than God
Be offended with me
Let the world
Rather than God
Be offended with me
V2
Oh my sin- oh my sin
This devil’s curse fills me within
Never free until He
Justified this guilt in me
So help me God
Reformation
Reformation
(Oh my God I need your
Reformation)
Reformation
Let the world
Rather than God
Be offended with me
Let the world
Rather than God
Be offended with me
All ye saints
About face
Reform
Reform
A mighty fortress is our God
A bulwark never failing
Write the declaration
Nail it to the door
Then go kiss the sister like she ain’t been kissed before
So help me God
Reformation
Reformation
(Oh my God I need your
Reformation)
Reformation
Reformation
Let the world
Rather than God
Be offended with me
Let the world
Rather than God
Be offended with me
